English

'Bonnie of Dartmouth'

Victory 40 Class Ketch

Designed by E. Van de Stadt as a Trintella IV model, she was moulded in GRP by the Tyler Boat Company, Kent in 1973 and fitted out by Aberdour Marine in Fife Scotland in 1974.

'Bonnie' is auxiliary powered by a Perkins 4.236 – 4 cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine which was completely rebuilt by Perkins agent in December 2018, the engine is coupled with a PRM gearbox and a calorifier water heater.

This Van de Stadt Trintella IV Victory 40 class ketch benefits from a twin fore cabin and a large full beam double across the rear both with separate toilet compartments, Solar panels, diesel heating throughout, and copious storage.

Her deck equipment includes 1200W anchor winch with 55m and a CQR Anchor, stainless steel davits, stainless steel transom swim ladder and stainless wire rails all round with two mid ship and one aft gate. Raymarine navigation includes Chart plotter with GPS & Radar, autopilot, Depth, Speed and Wind Direction, AIS (Automatic Ship detection), fish finder depth chart system and an ICOM VHF Radio with Commander remote microphone

"Bonnie" has had her deck covering completely removed and replaced with Flexi-Teak and she has both a cockpit cover with removable sides and an overall winter cover.

Brokers Comments

This Van de Stadt Trintella IV Victory 40 class ketch 'Bonnie of Dartmouth' is well known in the Solent having been the Royal Southern Yacht Club committee boat for many years and as such was always kept mechanically sound, including an engine rebuild in 2018. Due to health reasons her (chief race officer) owner now has to take a back seat and she needs a new owner to spend some time and money taking her to her next role as a long distance family cruiser, house boat, or even continuing her committee boat role.

New owner wanted with "elbow grease" and some additional funds to enjoy her on the high seas on a modest budget.
