Chwan is from the Cheoy Lee Yard in Hong Kong who have two facilities in China. The corporate headquarters is located in Hong Kong, along with a small adjoining shipyard facility purely for vessel repair, servicing local operators and the Hong Kong community. All Cheoy Lee yachts and Motor vessel construction takes place at their Hin Lee (Zhuhai) Shipyard facility, situated around 45 miles to the West of Hong Kong. Over 100 years and five generations of uninterrupted ship building, Cheoy Lee’s unwavering commitment to build dependable yachts and service endures to this day. Chwan was built in 1974 and she was originally equipped for serious off-shore cruising. Her hull is classic ‘long keel’ and with the ketch rig provides a varied and comprehensive combination of sail configurations to suit most weather conditions. More recently she has been used as a comfortable and spacious ‘Live Aboard’ and consequently requires some updating plus some cosmetic attention is needed. Her powerful 70hp BMC Commodore engine drives her along in excess of 7 knots.

In summary Chwan has been built to highest specifications by a well-respected builder and with some upgrading and sympathetic attention she could in the future make the new owner the ideal yacht for sailing over the distant horizons as was originally intended back in 1974

Chwan has 6 berths which provide comfortable liveaboard accommodation.

The gally is equipped with a cooker with oven, grill and 2 burners, a fridge and sink with pressurised water system.

The heads have a manual loo and shower and basin.

All heated with a fantastic Kabola heating stove that runs 2 radiators making Chwan very comfortable in the winter months.
