1969 Van De Stadt 29 for sale in Kent
This Van Der Stadt sloop rigged sailing cruiser built by Tyler Boat Company in 1969 is currently afloat at Gillingham Marina. This four-berth yacht provides good accommodation with a forward double cabin with two single berths in the saloon. This sturdy, yet fast cruiser offers good accommodation for a yacht of this size. This yacht makes a great first boat - cosy interior and sails very well. The previous owner sailed her around Great Britain. A 2021 survey report is available upon request.
Accommodation :
This Van Der Stadt offers four berths in one cabin. Forward is a double V berth with infill with storage beneath and the saloon offers two single berths. The saloon has a rich light teak interior which gives it a warm feel, with 5’ headroom. The saloon has a lot of storage space for a yacht of its size.
The galley area to starboard has single stainless-steel sink, with pressurised and foot pumped water stainless steel 2 burner cooker with grill. The galley and heads have hot water that is heated by a gas water heater. The galley has good storage. The Heads with marine toilet to port behind the forward cabin. Access to the engine is via the companionway steps. The cockpit with its tiller steering provides a good secure space with reasonable storage space and bench seating.

History & Construction:
This Van Der Stadt 29 yacht is of GRP construction with curved raked stern, chin hull design with a long keel with balanced spade rudder. Built by Tyler Boat Company in 1969. The topsides and hull have been painted white. The decks have blue non-slip areas. The yacht was last out of the water in July 2023 when she was antifouled, and the anodes changed.
There is a also a 2021 survey report available for anyone who comes to view the yacht. A winter storage cradle is available by separate negotiation at the Medway Cruising Club. The owner is selling to upgrade to a larger yacht.

This yacht has a 13HP 2 cylinder Beta Marine diesel engine ,shaft driven to a Folding 2 bladed propeller. Single lever Morse control in cockpit. Engine was last professionally serviced by Gillingham Marina Engineering in July 2023. It has a steel fuel tank. The yacht will cruise at 5 knots and has a maximum speed of six knots
Electrical Systems:
2 x 12v Batteries 1 X Domestic 115amp approximately 3 years old. 1 x Engine 52amp 3approximately 3 years old . All charged by engine alternator and solar panel . There is also a 240V shore power connection . The solar panels use a Victron MPPT charger and there is a Victron Smart shunt for monitoring power.
