1998 Sunseeker Portofino 400 for sale in Kent
This Sunseeker Portofino 400 motorboat was built in 1998 and is a great example of the very popular cruiser. This motorboat offers excellent light and spacious accommodation for up to four people in two good sized cabins. This Sunseeker Portofino has been well maintained and looked after by the current owner, and is ideal for coastal use, channel hopping in comfort or cruising rivers.

Accommodation :
The Sunseeker Portofino 400 sleep's up to eight people in two cabins, a large saloon and very spacious cockpit which provides a fantastic entertaining space.
The owner’s cabin is forward with a large double island berth with under berth storage and a hanging wardrobe to the starboard side with additional shelf storage to both port and starboard. This cabin is well lite by an overhead opening deck hatch above the bed and two opening port holes to both port and starboard. This cabin also benefits from a wall mounted TV.
Moving aft, the heads are located on the starboard side, with a white sink mounted in a vanity unit with hot and cold pressurized hot water, marine toilet, and built in shower with doors and tray. Hot water is provided by a Calorifier water heater and 240v immersion heater. These heads benefit from a Jack and Jill door giving access from the saloon and the owners cabin.
The main saloon is very luxurious with a U-shaped settee to port with saloon table that can drop and make into an additional berth if required. Cupboard storage above with two opening port lights.
Opposite this seating area on the starboard side is the galley, consisting of worktops, plenty of cupboards, a single stainless-steel sink with pressurised hot and cold water heated by the engine’s, electric hob and Microwave. The saloon also benefits from TV and fusion CD player and Radio.
Aft of the saloon and amid-ships is the guest accommodation with two single berths and hanging wardrobe and cupboard storage. This Sunseeker Portofino benefits from an Eberspacher diesel heater supplying heat to the main saloon, owners’ cabin and guest cabin.
The companion way steps lead to a very roomy open plan cockpit area with seating to the port, and the helm position to starboard. The helm area consists of main engine controls navigation aids and vessel control switches. This cockpit benefits from a rear seating are located on the port side with a U-shaped settee and table opposite an external cockpit galley area with a stainless-steel sink with hot and cold water, fridge and TV. This cockpit give access through a transom door to the bathing platform.

History & Construction
Built in 1998 this Sunseeker Portofino has a blue GRP hull and white decks with non-slip surfaces. It has a teak deck in the aft cockpit area. Wheel steering, stainless steel stanchions, pulpit. glass windscreen with black bonded surround. It has a walk through transom gates to a GRP bathing platform. Last out of the water in 2024 to have her anodes checked and hull polished, outdrives serviced, bellows replaced and full engine service. The owner is looking to move on to different activities after owning the boat for 7 years.

Mechanical Systems
This Sunseeker Portofino has two Mercruiser Cummins, 320HP diesel engines, powering two outdrives with 2 x 3 bladed bronze propellers. The outdrives were last service in July 2024 as well as changing the bellows to both outdrives at the same time. The engines are supplied by a 1000-litre fuel tank. To make handling easy this boat is fitted with, a Bowthruster, Trim tabs and Hydraulic steering.
Electrical Systems
4 x 12-volt batteries, (2 x Engine 2 x Domestic) charging from engine alternator, and battery charger via 240v shore power system with ring main. These batteries were replaced in 2021 and are controlled by a new Pro battery charge management system that was installed in 2023.
