Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean”.

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Heavy duty GRP moulding, hand laid up incorporating multi-axial and unidirectional reinforcement.
• The deck is bonded to the hull through the entire length and to all main bulkheads, resulting in a strong and integrated unit.
• The keel box is an integral part of the hull lay-up and sandwich construction stiffening runs the entire length of the hull topsides.
• All main bulkheads are bonded into the hull at main lay-up stage along with the stiffening grillage of transverse frames and longitudinal stringers. The engine bearers are also an integral part of the hull structure.
• Topside gelcoat: Southerly Blue.
• Style lines: Ivory White (new 2023).
• Boot top lines: Red & Ivory White (new 2023).
• Underwater gelcoat: Clear.

Keel & Rudder:

• New keel pennant and lifting gear fitted 2022.
• The Swing Keel is raised and lowered by a hydraulic ram powered by an electrically driven pump with a hand operated back-up all hydraulics.
• The fixed ballast is an iron casting which acts as a grounding plate and as a transverse stiffening for the keel unit.
• Substantial skeg fitted on centreline to protect propeller and rudders when yachts is dried out.
• A removeable stainless-steel pin can be positioned to enable to keel to be locked in the ‘up’ position.
• Semi-balanced twin rudders.
• Lewmar/Whitlock Cobra steering system.

Machinery

• Yanmar 4JH4E 54hp 4-cylinder, fresh water cooled, diesel engine.
• 2.36:1 Reduction/reverse gearbox. Reconditioned 2022.
