The Prospect 900 is a Van de Stadt designed cruiser/racer with comfortable accommodation for a family of five and a separate heads compartment in the forepeak. ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation offers up to five berths with 6' 2" headroom.
Steps leading down from cockpit to comfortable saloon with dinette to starboard side, drop down table converting to a double berth, storage above and below. Quarter berth with sliding work surface above and galley opposite to port, stainless steel sink with cold pumped water supply, gimballed Plastimo Neptune 2000 oven with two burners and grill, storage above and below and crockery stowage aft.
Midships cabin divided from the main saloon by partial bulkheads, settee berths to both sides, hanging locker to starboard and cupboards above port.
Heads to forepeak with recently replaced SeaFlo marine toilet, moulded sink to port with cold pumped water supply and locker forward. New Houdini escape hatch to foredeck (installed Spring 2023). Spare chemical toilet.
240V Vintage style solid brass marine bulkhead cage lamp and 2 new 12V interior light fittings, teak and teak faced joinery.
Fresh waters system completely replaced Spring 2023 including all pipework, new pump and new filter.
Brand new cabin heater included in sale (still boxed and ready to fit)
MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
Located beneath the cockpit sole, Volvo Penta MD7A twin cylinder 13hp diesel engine. Seawater cooled. Single lever engine controls with electric start. Sail drive to fixed 2-bladed propeller. Sail drive leg oil, seals and anode replaced Spring 2023
Alternator charging to 2 x 12V Batteries
240V Shore power supply with new cable
12V and 240V Cabin lighting with some new fittings

CONSTRUCTION
Prospect 900 built by Rydgeway Marine of Oulton Broad in 1986 to a design by EG Van de Stadt. White GRP painted hull with blue styling stripe, white painted coach roof and moulded non-slip decks. Aft self draining cockpit. Wing keel. Tiller steering to transom hung rudder. Self draining anchor locker. Stainless steel keel bolts replaced in 2016. All windows replaced and resealed Spring 2023.
