The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear. Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.

Comments

Alliaura Marine had a highly respected name in the building of ‘custom’ high end Blue water cruising Catamarans (the same company that built the range of Feeling yachts). The 395 evolved from the popular Privilege 37 (the owners of this 395 had previously owned a 37) that came with a taller rig offering increased sail area and giving the bimini top even better head room for owners.

Other features such as twin helm seats, significantly larger windows, increased headroom in the master cabin.

First 6 years she was lightly chartered (because only had 3 cabins) though Ekert Yachting.  The 2nd owner had her for 9/10 with casual sailing in the Med.

She was then purchased in 2019 by her current owner in Lefkas, Greece where she has only sailed seasonally (recreational sailing) in the Ionian.  Lifted ashore every 2 years (2020/2022/2024)

An experience Catamaran owner with thousands of sea miles behind him, the owner of this yacht is confident in his opinion that the Privilege is a higher quality build and a far better performance Cat than other well known production brands.
