A rare Najad 440 Centre Cockpit, just arrived on brokerage that has been beautifully maintained, with one owner from new!
She is a lovely example of this ever popular model, with a host of cruising upgrades and extras, including generator, electric in-mast furling, bow thruster and pale biscuit Alcantara upholstery. Her owner is regrettably retiring from sailing so there are a host of extra's available by separate negotiation.

Hull and Superstructure
A vacuum infused hull of sandwich construction with multi-axial fibreglass polyester and Divinycell core (for re-enforcement and insulation).
Reinforced single laminate is used in high stress/important areas, such as the floor, engine bed and through hull fittings.
The hull is reinforced with a longitudinal and transverse floor grid system construction. This supports the keel fittings, mast, engine frame, tanks and cabin soles.
All structural bulkheads and stringers are laminated to the hull on both sides.
A top coat is painted in the bilges, stowage and engine room.
Below the water line, the hull is coated with two layers of epoxy primer and black anti-fouling.
White hull colour with Carmine red waterlines and hull trim line.
The hull and deck are sealed together with Vinylester and bolted together.
The keel has an upper part of cast iron, with a ballast lead bulb.
The stainless steering wheel has an adjustable friction brake.
The emergency tiller (stored in the cockpit locker) is attached through a dedicated deck fitting.

The fibre glass steering pedestal has a grab handle.
A foldable, high gloss varnished cockpit table fits on the side of the pedestal with it's own cover and can be easily erected.
The sprayhood provides a completely protected area at the forward end of the cockpit, then with the extension panels the entire cockpit can be covered over.
Two loudspeakers in the cockpit are connected to the stereo in the saloon.

Selden Rig
The keel stepped aluminium mast has fractional 19/20 set up with three pairs of swept back spreaders.
Electric in mast furling with control from the pedestal.

Furlex headsail system with reefing line on port side; via blocks this leads to the cockpit.
Boom lines include a topping lift, internal outhaul and two reefing lines. These are manoeuvred by a winch mounted on the mast.

Interior Features
The interior is unstained varnished mahogany, polished to a satin finish. All ceiling and reading lights are LED, some with dimmer controls
Saloon
In the saloon there is plenty of room for the whole crew to be together for meals and socialising and with her amazing headroom, this is a light and airy space.
There are leather covered stainless grab rails on each side of the companionway steps and on the starboard side ceiling.
The immaculate mahogany saloon table is foldable on the starboard side and has bottle stowage in the table support.
The backrests of the settees are removeable to convert to berths. She has two two saloon speakers and a flat screen 22" TV on the wall.
Navigation Area
Angled slightly off the saloon beside the companionway, offering good contact with the cockpit, there is a full size chart table, accompanied by an Alcantara covered curved navigators seat.
There is a 12 volt, 230 volt AC outlet and a chart lamp.
Galley
The galley is located amidships in the passage to the aft cabin and offers an extensive working surface with all galley equipment within easy reach. There are Corian worktops throughout the galley and the twin stainless sinks are inset in the Corian. A fully pressurised hot/cold fresh water system, with a single lever tap.
There is a well insulated 92 L fridge box with 3 removeable baskets and water-cooled Danfoss compressor. Also, an extra separate 40 L water-cooled fridge/freezer box.
The gimballed 3- burner gas cooker with oven and grill is by GN Espace and there is a combination oven with m/wave (230 v) handily situated above. There is a large cupboard underneath for pans.
The galley has tardis like stowage for all your groceries and the cupboards are equipped with fiddles for crockery stowage. She comes with Najad branded china and glassware.
Forward Cabin
With a full queen size berth, two spacious wardrobes on both sides and shelves running along both sides of the hull, this is a light and airy cabin.
The unvarnished berth boards have ventilation holes to promote air flow.
The spacious en-suite heads has a separate shower cubicle with a large wet locker in it containing a portable washing machine. There is a thermostat controlled shower mixer tap, as well as an electric waste pump. The wash basin and bench surface and made of Corian, with lockers above and below and hold/cold single lever tap.
The toilet is electric and drains into it's holding tank.
Aft Cabin
Another comfortable queen sized berth with ventilated berth boards underneath.
Plenty of stowage underneath the berth boards and extensive wardrobe, shelving and cupboard space.
The ensuite heads has Corian wash basin and bench surface and separate shower. There are lockers above and below the wash basin and a single lever mixer tap. There is a thermostat controlled shower mixer tap and an electric waste pump. The toilet is electric and drains into the holding tank.
Electrical Systems
The 230 v shore power system includes 25m of cable with indication lamp, fuse box and earth fault interrupter.
Lightening protection, through the shore power.
Mastervolt 230v galvanic isolation transformer with grounding plate.
Main switches with separate AGM battery systems for start and service.
The electric power is supplied by the engine alternator 12v /115 A or shore power via a Mastervolt battery charger (12/230 v, 100A). This can be combined with the inverter to convert the service batteries to 230v when the shore power is not connected.
Mastervolt touch display at the nav station, displaying current usage, voltage and remaining battery capacity.
Fisher Panda (3kw) diesel generator, which is Mastervolt compatible.
Automatic electric bilge pump with separate filters.
