A fast and comfortable aft-cockpit cruiser, 'Chaika II' is a prime example of a Moody S38. With it's performance improving fractional rig, taller double spreader mast and increased sail area, the sport aspect of this boat will keep you cruising at speed through moderate and into rough weather. Her deep fin keel improves the stability and she is set up so that single handing is made easy with all lines leading aft to the cockpit and primaries that are well within reach of the helm position.
Whilst easily sailed single handed 'Chaika II' is large and accommodating with more than enough room for crew and guests. . She has a fully functioning galley with excellent headroom and a roomy saloon with u-shaped seating that converts to a double berth on the starboard side. In total there are 7 berths in the 3 cabins all with ample room even for taller individuals and being equipped with two seperate heads allows for some privacy between crew. She is beamy and spacious down below with a warm woody feel,a large fold-away dining table, a wrap around galley with plentiful storage space for utensils, deep sinks, deep fridge and a full size cooker.
She has been well maintained and cared for by her current owners who whilst regularly servicing her have in recent years replaced the engine, the standing rigging, autohelm, instruments and clutches. The Hull has been re-epoxied and the interior re-upholstered. Also a new Bimini and cockpit tent have been fitted as well as davits.
