The Bill Dixon designed Moody 31MkII was introduced in 1985 to refine and modernise the popular MkI version of the design, launched in 1983. The Moody 31 proved to be one of the most popular designs the British builder produced offer a great layout with the benefit of a spacious aft cabin. The MkII design featured a slightly tweaked layout below decks and a sugar scoop-style transom. The design ceased production in 1991 with over 300 examples leaving the factory during that period.
