The 17 features a clever in-cockpit space for the outboard, ensuring the propeller is well under the boat and in front of the generous rudder. This design provides excellent power and steering control while underway or against a foul tide. The boat is remarkably stable when needing to anchor or adjust the rig. Lines lead aft via jamming cleats, making single-handed sailing very easy. High-quality furlers simplify jib work, and with the centre plate dropped, the 17 can tack neatly to windward. Enjoy the beautiful wood slatted side decks; the boat feels like a well-balanced dinghy or can be adjusted for a more relaxed cruiser style.

• Hand laid GRP hull and deck mouldings.
• Decks are Off White with optional 2 tone non-slip colours in grey or parchment.
• Standard hull colours are any combination - Off White, Dark Blue, and Dark Green with contrasting waterline.
• Hull and deck joint is by way of a 'biscuit tin' joint with GRP internal bonding.
• External hardwood rubbing bands.
• The Hull is complete with moulded mini bilge keels and a galvanised steel lifting centre plate.
