The Carabelli 257 was designed by Horacio Carabelli from Brazil. The vessel combines Great sailing performance, with an IRC rating of 0.955 and a spacious and comfortable interior. Can be sailed singlehanded or competitively by two keen sailors, while at the same time being perfect for a small family. This example has been stored inside since arriving in the UK and benefits from upgraded hardware and systems making this in effect a 'new 'boat.

Construction
Hull
Single skin construction using polyester resin and biaxial glass with structural inner liner moulding to dissipate loads from the rig and keel.
Deck
Sandwich construction using 80kg/m³ rigid p.v.c foam, biaxial glass & polyester resin, which gives a rigid, light structure with improved thermal insulation.
The deck colour is white and the working areas of the deck have an easy to clean but effective non-slip finish.
Keel
Fin and bulb configuration with 750 kg lead bulb incorporating a stainless steel support structure encased in a grp casing.
The keel can be raised and lowered via a stainless steel hydraulic ram which is powered by an electrically operated pump.
