The current owners have made some useful upgrades to the boat such as the Raymarine remote keyboard, enabling chart plotting to be carried out in the saloon utilising the TV screen. courtesy lighting, to the rear access steps, across the rear and inside of the helm, plus low level lighting to the saloon area using pelmet and floor level lighting. The owners cabin has benefitted from having special bed head reading lights fitted and the two space heaters for front and rear heating plus the water immersion heater can be controlled from the rear cabin bed side. For comfort the space heating system has been extended to provide an outlet in the rear heads, which can also be switched on from the rear bed head. Inside both the saloon and dining area have been re upholstered in a very attractive cream leatherette fabric. In addition some very useful extra storage space has been created in the rear cabin. Additional 13 amp sockets have been fitted, supplied from the shore power ring main to enable power to be easily accessible throughout the boat.

When acquired by the current owners the boat was fitted with a Cooney Dinghy Davit system. This was carefully removed and the boat was reconfigured for continental cruising with fender baskets for 9 fenders plus life raft and an extendable ladder to the bow rails. The ladder enables access over the bow when mooring bow to, a very frequent situation in continental moorings. Refitting the Cooney system would be very easy and it and all the fittings, motor etc are included in this sale.

Accomodation

The Broom 42 CL has four berths across two cabins. A large aft owners cabin boasts an island double berth with good standing headroom, plenty of stowage/hanging space, a large shower/wet room to starboard and separate heads to port. New blue pencil pleat blinds fitted to shower and both heads.

Forward of the owners cabin is the saloon. The saloon has an upper seating area that, along with the dinette, has recently been reupholstered in cream leatherette. Both Saloon and Dinette areas can be converted into additional double berths for additional sleeping accommodation.

In the saloon upper seating area there is a fixed flat-screen TV that is connected to the Raymarine Navigation system with a Raymarine keyboard on an extension allowing you to utilise all functionality from the comfortable sofas.

Forward of the upper seating area is a well equipped galley to starboard, benefitting from a three burner gas hob with extractor fan over, microwave combi oven with integral grill, stainless steel sinks and dual voltage mains/battery fridge.

In the bow is the second cabin with a V berth. There is ample stowage and hanging space, with additional stowage under the bunks. The forward cabin also has en suite access to the day heads.

The boat benefits from hot and cold pressurised water and two Webasto space-heating systems with controls in both cabins for pre heating.

The fly bridge has a large seating area aft with a folding teak table, ideal for entertaining. The helm station has three seats, a heating vent, dual Raymarine plotters, VHF Radio, depth, speed, auto pilot, windlass and bow thruster controls, together with an engine hours readout.

She has ample room for deck chairs on either the bathing platform or the bow area for enjoying a morning coffee and has remote courtesy lighting that illuminates the platform and steps, a very useful feature should you be trying to find your boat in the dark.
