This Beneteau Oceanis 51.1 has been comprehensively updated and upgraded in January 2024. Not only does she come with a brand-new set of North Sail sails, but she is also fitted out with a new folding prop, a complete new Victron Energy installation, new Lithium batteries, new tender with outboard, new exterior upholstery, a third plotter, etc. Why? The current owner who bought her end 2023 just wanted to have his new boat in an even more perfect condition. Dream Weaver has a distinctive light grey hull (polished in 2024), wide teak laid decks (sanded and coated in 2024), and a push-button fold-down bathing platform. She is furthermore equipped with an 110hp shaft drive Yanmar diesel engine, bow thruster, Fisher Panda genset, full B&G navigation package, electric winches, telescopic cranes which fold away, new underwater lights, etc. The steering area is well-organized, and the captain can comfortably move around to adjust and trim the sails. For those who just want to relax can do that on the lounge beds on either side of the companion way, and the comfy cockpit seats with cushioned coamings. The big drop-leaf cockpit table has a built-in fridge and a compartment to stow the life raft. Also worth mentioning is the griddle that swings out from the aft bench so the chef can stand on the electric swim platform to prepare a tasty meal.
Interior
Step down via the companion way and you’ll be surprised by the generous volume offered. Here, too, the current owner has made some interesting changes and upgrades. This boat originally had a 4-cabin layout. However, the bunkbed cabin to starboard side has been converted into a walk-in closet/laundry room with washing machine. It looks like it has always been there since only original Beneteau woodwork has been used. The navigation corner has been upgraded with a third B&G chart plotter, and the cabinet behind the bench opposite the dining area now conceals a large pop-up TV. She is, furthermore, fitted out with air conditioning throughout, a dishwasher, and electric toilets. The master cabin forward features an island berth, a settee on each side, an ensuite head to port, and an ensuite shower compartment to starboard side. The two guest cabins aft share the second bathroom. Our verdict: a great cruiser offering excellent performance and superb living comfort on board.
