The Viking 93 Motor Yacht project is flying high and right on schedule with a late August delivery. The largest Viking built so far in our 53 year history is slated for a private showing at our Dealer Meeting in September followed by its world premiere at the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November. This magnificent yacht is the sum of numerous milestones throughout the build cycle, like the hull infusion process, which took place in late December.
Pulling the hull from the mold and setting into its cradle sets the next phase in motion, preparing it for the production line.
On Line 1, with the mechanical, electrical first stage assembly completed, another milestone occurred last week as the main deck was air lifted from the Viglass department. With several of our overhead hoists providing the muscle, the main deck landed on the hull in one swift operation. Sealed and bolted to the hull, we now have teams of shipwrights working below decks building the five staterooms, while galley units and appliances are being prepped.
This week, the Viking 93 Motor Yacht moved up a notch on the production line to the finish carpentry stage. While work continues below, topside, the salon and galley will shape up quickly with cabinetry and other appointments.
See the production action below.
